Black Sea and Central Asian Economic Outlook Official Launch of the Report

The Black Sea and Central Asia: Promoting Work and Well Being is an OECD assessment of economic performance and underlying policies in the Black Sea and Central Asian regions. It has been designed to facilitate dialogue between policy makers, civil society and communication professionals at the national and regional levels.

The official launching event of the Outlook on 23 June 2008 in Bucharest was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the Ministry of Labour, Family and Equal Opportunities of Romania and the OECD Development Centre, and sponsored by the ERSTE Group.

This event provided participants with a first-hand opportunity to discuss and present their points of view on policy challenges in the regions. During the conference, the participants addressed topics on employment, informality, migration, coping mechanisms and labour market policies.
