    Darfur Community Peace and Stability Fund Impact Assessment.

    DFID conducted an impact assessment to understand how the activities funded by the Darfur Community Peace and Security Fund (DCPSF) are contributing to stabilizing communities in its target areas, especially in relation to the engagement of women and the young. This current impact assessment is commissioned by DFID for its own evaluation purposes and its findings will be shared with other donors contributing to the DCPSF.

    External Evaluation Report of Sierra Leone’s Youth Reproductive Health Programme (2007–2012)

    Restless Development Sierra Leone has implemented the Youth Reproductive Health Program (YRHP) for five years (2007 to 2012), with funding from the UK Department for International Development (DFID). The project is rooted in the unique Restless Development peer-to-peer behavioural change model and harnesses the potential of ex-volunteers to sustain awareness raising campaigns.

    DFID’s Oversight of the EU’s Aid to Low-Income Countries

    At a policy level, DFID has a clear focus for its engagement with the EU. There is limited evidence, however, of DFID’s influence on the delivery of EU aid on the ground. Co-operation with the EU centrally is good but the EU is treated by DFID’s country offices as another donor rather than as a route for achieving DFID’s goals.

    Evaluation of DFID’s International Citizens’ Service (ICS)- Pilot Programme

    The 18-month pilot programme, International Citizen Service (ICS) supported young British citizens to contribute to development through international volunteering and generated knowledge to inform future youth volunteering programmes. The ICS pilot programme was both innovative and highly ambitious in seeking to demonstrate and understand how diverse cohorts of young volunteers can achieve development impacts.

    Adaptation Learning Programme (ALP) CARE International Mid-Term Review - Final Report

    The Adaptation Learning Programme in Africa (ALP) seeks to increase the capacity of vulnerable households in sub-Saharan Africa to adapt to climate variability and change with a particular focus on gender equality and diversity. The programme covers Ghana, Niger, Kenya and Mozambique aiming to pioneer, deepen practical understanding of and document Community-Based Adaptation (CBA) over five years.

    Somalia Stability Programme - Pilot Evaluation

    The purpose of this evaluation is to inform design and programming for DFID’s Somalia Stability Programme (SSP), the multi-donor Somalia Stability Fund (SSF), and the British Office for Somalia’s stabilisation efforts. It is undertaken at a time when after decades of conflict, civil strife, and political turmoil there appears to be a window of opportunity that will permit the generation of more coherent government in Somalia.

In undertaking this assessment exercise,three key benchmark reports have been used to provide a base position: GoR PFM Reform Strategy (2008-2012), the Public Financial Management Reform Strategy (PFMRS) Mid Term Review, published in May 2011 and The PEFA Report of 2010.

    Final Evaluation of the Three Diseases Fund - Myanmar

    The US$136 million, multi-donor, Three Diseases Fund (3DF) (2006-2011) was established to reduce the burden of communicable disease mortality and morbidity for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB) and malaria in Myanmar. The final evaluation of the 3DF aimed to document lessons learnt to inform future health funding and the evaluation of the Three Millennium Development Goal (3MDG) Fund.
