OECD Territorial Reviews: Poland

The Territorial Review of Poland will be launched in Warsaw on 13-14 November 2008. The review highlights that while Poland has maintained high growth levels since the mid-1990s, territorial disparities - among the greatest in terms of GDP per capita in the OECD - are persistent and rising. The report also explores challenges for Polish regional development policy and provides recommendations to best implement the policy mix.

Poland has become a new member country of the International Energy Agency (IEA). The government in Warsaw completed all necessary steps under its national legislation to accede to the IEA founding document, the Agreement on an International Energy Program (I.E.P. Agreement). With the membership of Poland, the IEA now has 28 member countries.
