Service Sector

In recent years the Committee on Industry, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) has analysed structural shifts in OECD economies arising from the growth of services and the increasing reliance of manufacturing on them. It is presently striving to develop a better understanding of value creation from intellectual assets, such as human capital, research capabilities or managerial innovation, which are particularly important in the services sectors.
