Women and Men in OECD Countries: A new publication showing the relative positions of women and men in OECD countries in such areas as population, education, labour markets, political and economic power, health and social issues. PDF (3.52 mb) Note: The print version of this brochure will be included with the first 3000 copies of the OECD Factbook 2007. OECD Factbook 2007 on Online Bookshop Society at a Glance 2006 Edition. This new edition, structured similarly to the OECD Factbook, provides for each indicator a tw0-page spread showing on the left page a definition of the indicators and comments on its measurement, as well as comments on recent trends, and on the right page tables and graphics presenting the key messages found in the data. Coverage includes general context indicators such as income per capita, age-dependency ratios, and fertility rates; self-sufficiency indicators such as employment, childcare costs, and tax wedge on labour; equity indicators such as earning inequality, gender wage gaps, poverty persistence; health indicators such as life expectancy, health care expenditure, and long-term care recipients; and social cohesion indicators such as voting, prisoners, suicides, and strikes. The book includes StatLinks, URLs associated with each graph and chart linking to an Excel file containing the underlying data. Press Release | Publication Announcement | Book on Online Bookshop | Book on SourceOECD Podcasts Now on SourceOECD! For the first time, OECD is now adding short video clips to SourceOECD. They generally feature OECD experts summarising recent findings and make excellent supplementary course material. The first three clips cover Competitive Cities, the Euro Area, and Renewable Energy and Environmental Taxes. The 2007 edition of the OECD Factbook will include a free copy of Women and Men in the OECD, a €15 value and an important new publication showing the relative position of women and men in such areas as population, education, labour markets, political and economic power, health and social issues. OECD Factbook 2007 will be released on March 29. OECD Factbook 2007 on the Online Bookshop OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals now available free of charge on the OECD Online Bookshop and on SourceOECD. Free access is effective 1 Jan 2007.
