"Les Journées européennes du patrimoine" (Heritage Days), 20-21 September
Thanks to the opening of the new OECD Conference Centre, for the first time since 2003 the OECD was able to open its premises to the public. For this year’s edition of the “Journées du Patrimoine” the theme was “Patrimoine et création” with a special emphasis on contemporary architecture in the context of historical sites. This theme was particularly appropriate for the OECD as its new Conference Centre was built under the garden of its Chateau de la Muette. The OECD welcomed some 2400 visitors for this event which was an important occasion in terms of the openness and transparency of the Organisation.
