This report looks at the institutional framework of corporate governance in China through the prism of the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance and assess a broad range of laws, regulations and codes.
Good corporate governance is essential for the development of a competitive private sector that in the long-term is able to attract and retain the capital needed for investment. OECD corporate governance co-operation with non-OECD economies is organised around regional roundtables and country programmes which provide key forums for dialogue and the sharing of best policy practices.
