Organised in Paris on 26 March 2009, discussions at this roundtable focused on a review of recent investment policy developments in participating countries, investment policies and past economic crises, recipient country investment policies relating to national security, and finalising the report for the 2009 OECD ministerial meeting.
This Annual Report provides an account of the actions the 41 adhering governments have taken over the 12 months to June 2008 to enhance the contribution of the Guidelines to the improved functioning of the global economy. It also highlights key findings of the High-Level OECD-ILO Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility.
Mr. Gurría presented in Beijing the 2008 OECD Investment Policy Review of China which assesses recent developments in the Chinese investment environment and focuses on the government’s efforts to encourage responsible business conduct in China, as well as by Chinese enterprises operating abroad.

This concept note provides an outline for a Risk Mitigation Brokerage and Evaluation Facility for investment in infrastructure to be hosted by the African Development Bank. It was distributed as part of the documentation at the Annual Meeting of the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA) held in Rome on 9-11 March 2009.
The OECD will release a new report – Managing Water for All: Pricing and Financing – at an event during the World Water Forum in Istanbul.
Latin America has a major role to play in building a new international financial and economic system, since it has accumulated substantial experience in managing financial crises and recovery programs, according to the OECD Secretary-General.
