This event is part of the OECD Project on African Public Debt Management and Bond Markets sponsored by the Icelandic Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The National Treasury of South Africa  and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange of South Africa.

This workshop provided an opportunity for African countries to discuss practical market-infrastructure issues which are of major concern for debt managers in the African debt markets.

The workshop  was attended by senior debt managers and other officials involved in debt management operations and the development of government bond markets, as well as investors, intermediaries, and other service providers in the financial markets.
