The third meeting of the Latin American Network on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises focused on accountability and transparency of SOEs in Latin America.
Mumbai, India - The 2014 Roundtable focused on improving public supervision and enforcement in Asia, the governance and performance of listed SOEs, risks and opportunities for family-owned business groups and the revision of the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance.
The Latin American Companies Circle brings together a group of Latin American companies who have adopted good corporate governance practices in order to provide private sector input into the work of the Roundtable.
Istanbul, Turkey - The roundtable addressed the equity market structure and trading practices, corporate ownership and control and the corporate governance framework in emerging markets.
Muscat, Oman - 2 December 2013 - This meeting was organised in the format of a high level regional roundtable, where heads and other representatives of regional exchanges were invited to participate, alongside regulators and relevant international and regional institutions.
18-19 November 2013 - Swakopmund, Namibia. This meeting served to reach a consensus on the Southern African Guidelines on the Governance of State-Owned Enterprises and worked towards developing company guidance on anti-corruption and corporate ethics in SOEs.
This meeting focused on issues related to implementation, monitoring and enforcement of the new Russian Corporate Governance Code.
20-21 June 2013. Policymakers, regulators, stock exchanges, corporate governance institutes and private sector stakeholders from 16 countries came together to consider ways to strengthen equity markets through improved corporate governance policies and practices in the region.
This expert meeting in Rome discussed how changes in the structure and functioning of equity markets have affected the use of primary equity markets, investor confidence and the economic incentives among shareholders to engage in informed governance.
