Fourth meeting of the Latin American Network on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises

2-3 June 2015, Santiago, Chile

The OECD, CAF - Latin American development bank - and World Bank co-organised the 2015 meeting of the Latin American Network on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises, hosted by Chile’s System of Public Enterprises (SEP).  The meeting addressed SOE corporate governance reforms, with a more specific focus on frameworks for the development of effective boards of directors, and for budgeting and financing of SOEs. Participants included government representatives from Latin American and OECD economies, as well as strategic SOEs from across the region.  The meeting was supported by the Spanish Government, the National Commission for Capital Markets (CNMV), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), and University of Chile Centre for Corporate Governance and Capital Markets.
