The Sixth South East Europe Corporate Governance Roundtable Meeting and the joint meeting of the South East Europe and Eurasia Corporate Governance Roundtables was held in Istanbul on 16 and 17 February 2006.

The meeting of the South East Europe Corporate Governance Roundtable focused on stock-taking of recent developments and future progress in the corporate governance reform process in South East Europe and the role of securities regulators and the private sector in the enforcement of corporate governance rules.

The joint meeting of the two Roundtables focused on the corporate governance of state-owned enterprises and the corporate governance of banks, topics of great relevance to both regional Roundtables.

The Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) co-hosted the meetings which were organised in co-operation with the World Bank Group with the support of the Global Corporate Governance Forum, the Japanese Government and the Turkish International Co-operation Agency (TICA).
