08/12/2020 - This study examines the state of play in the area of prosecutor independence, to identify good practices and challenges in jurisdictions in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Asia Pacific. It then proposes recommendations on ways to address or avoid these challenges.

This webinar will discuss the main findings of the new reports Anti-Corruption Reforms in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Progress and Challenges, 2016-2019 that identified high level corruption and the key challenge for the region; and The Independence of Prosecutors in Eastern Europe Central Asia and Asia Pacific – in order to address high level corruption effectively. The Secretariat will explain how it will use performance indicators to monitor future progress in these areas. 

Prominent anti-corruption practitioners from the region and international organisations will exchange their insights on these challenging subjects and will take questions form the participants.
