The Development Assistance Committee (DAC) statistical data collection is based on a standard methodology and agreed definitions, ensuring comparability of data across donors and recipients.
Detailed information on ODA eligibility, classifications and collection methods are given in the Reporting Directives.
The Glossary of Key Terms and Concepts describes the basic features, and key DAC statistical concepts and classifications are explained in a number of methodological notes.
The Reporting Directives undergo constant review and scrutiny by the DAC Working Party on Statistics. Classifications (e.g. DAC List of ODA Recipients, DAC List of ODA-Eligible International Organisations, DAC sector/purpose classification) are updated on a regular basis.
