The DAC defines aid to education as including education policy and administrative management, education facilities and training, teacher training and educational research, basic education, secondary education and post-secondary education.
On October 22, Poland became the fourth OECD member to join the DAC in 2013. Over the last few years, Poland has made considerable progress in structuring its development co-operation system. It now has a legal and strategic framework, as well as an institutional structure for providing development co-operation.

The OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) collects aid flow data at activity level based on a standard methodology and agreed definitions. Aid to agriculture includes Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Rural Development.
Evaluating support to private sector development
Sweden delivered USD 5.24 billion in official development assistance (ODA) last year, or 0.99% of its gross national income (GNI). It is the second most generous member of the OECD’s Development Assistance Committee (DAC), which groups the world’s major donors, when ODA is measured on a GNI basis.
Sweden is a generous aid donor that has put development at the heart of its foreign policy.
