The DAC-EPOC Joint Task Team on Climate Change and Development Co-operation is a group of experts on the issue of climate change, particularly on climate change adaptation. The task team’s overarching mission is to integrate climate change adaptation into development co-operation. Its activities have three pillars:

1. Develop guidance on integrating climate change adaptation into development co-operation 
This Guidance document was endorsed by OECD member countries and published in 2009. It serves as a milestone guidance to address increasing concerns of climate change risks in OECD’s development co-operation activities (read more).

2. Provide hands-on training for policymakers to apply the guidance into their decision-making
The task team is committed to provide hands-on assistance for partner countries to apply the Guidance to their decision-makings. We develop training materials and organize workshops in developing countries for this purpose (read more).

3. Develop materials to apply the guidance in specific context.
As the guidance only provides overarching general principles, the task team is developing supplementary materials to apply the guidance in specific context.

OECD Development Co-operation Directorate  and Environment Directorate jointly serve as the Secretariat of the task team, and the task team reports to OECD DAC-ENVIRONET and OECD Environmental Policy Committee's Working Party on Climate Investment and Development meetings.
