    Latvia's Official Development Assistance (ODA)

    In 2014, Latvia’s net ODA amounted to USD 25 million, representing an increase of 7% in real terms over 2013. The ODA/GNI ratio remained stable at 0.08%. Preliminary data show that ODA reached USD 23 million in 2015 (0.09% of GNI).

    Kuwait's Official Development Assistance (ODA)

    In 2014, net ODA reported by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) amounted to USD 277 million, representing an increase of 19% in real terms over 2013. Kuwait’s total involvement in development co-operation exceeds this amount but the volume of the activities of other institutions is not known.

    Israel's Official Development Assistance (ODA)

    In 2014, Israel’s net ODA amounted to USD 200 million, representing a decrease of 3% in real terms over 2013. The ratio of ODA as a share of GNI remained stable at 0.07%. Preliminary data show that ODA reached USD 207 million in 2015 (0.07% of GNI).

    Hungary's Official Development Assistance (ODA)

    In 2014, Hungary’s net ODA amounted to USD 144 million, representing an increase of 13% in real terms over 2013. The ODA/GNI ratio also increased, from 0.10% to 0.11%. Preliminary data show that ODA reached USD 152 million in 2015 (0.13% of GNI).

    Estonia's Official Development Assistance (ODA)

    In 2014, Estonia’s net ODA amounted to USD 38 million, representing an increase of 20% in real terms over 2013. The ratio of ODA as a share of GNI also rose, from 0.13% to 0.14%. Preliminary data show that ODA reached USD 33 million in 2015 (15% of GNI).

    Broader development finance from the United Arab Emirates

    To get a better overview of all its official support for development, the UAE has completed a pilot exercise with the OECD. This pilot will also contribute to the current discussion on what a broader measure of international development finance should look like. Such a measure should incentivise public financing in support of the SDGs and mobilise private resources for that purpose.

    Development co-operation by countries beyond the Development Assistance Committee (DAC)

    Countries beyond the DAC provided at least USD 23.5 million, or 13%, of the global total of development co-operation in 2013, according to the OECD, showing that 8 out of the 30 largest bilateral providers of development co-operation are not members of the DAC.

    Amounts mobilised from private sector for development

    The development community has shown wide interest in better understanding the mobilisation effect of public development finance. Two Surveys were launched by the DAC Secretariat in 2013 and 2014, with the objective of exploring the feasibility of measuring in the DAC system the amounts mobilised by public development finance.

    The China-DAC Study Group

    The China-DAC Study Group was formed by the International Poverty Reduction Centre in China (IPRCC) and the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) in 2009. It aims to facilitate the sharing of experiences and promote learning on growth and poverty reduction.

    The January 2015 Arab-DAC Dialogue on Development brings together at a senior level development co-operation providers from Arab and DAC countries and international institutions to discuss how to integrate the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our development programmes and policies and to identify action to support developing countries in their efforts to achieve these goals.
