The Second Steering Committee meeting under European Union Water Initiative Plus for the Eastern Partnership (EUWI+) project took place on 15 November 2018 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The meeting brought together the Programme’s implementing partners (UNECE, OECD and an EU-Member States Consortium of Austria and France), National Focal Points and official representatives from the six Eastern Partnership countries:

The meeting focussed on progress achieved in each country, project implementation and sustainability and national and regional work programmes for 2019. Participants have shared their vision of results and insights achieved by the EUWI+ on EU WFD implementation in Eastern Partnership countries. They have put forward their experience and future aspirations for the project in addressing challenges for water sector reforms, in particular that of harmonizing respective national water policies and practices with relevant EU directives.
