Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, in Costa Rica on 15-16 February 2016

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Costa Rica on 15-16 February 2016 on an official visit. Mr. Gurría discussed with the country authorities the recently launched process of accession to the OECD and presented the Organisation's first Economic Survey of Costa Rica.


During his visit, the Secretary-General held bilateral meetings with Mr. Luis Guillermo Solís, President of the Republic, as well as with several Ministers of the government.‎ While in San José, Mr. Gurría also addressed members of the National Assembly and held meetings with representatives from civil society, including the trade unions and the business community.
