The OECD Working Party on State Ownership and Privatisation Practices facilitates policy dialogue and information exchange between OECD Member countries and key partners on improving corporate governance of state-owned enterprises and implementing privatisation policies. The Working Party was formed in 2001 to assist in the application of the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance specifically to state-owned enterprises. In support of this mission, the Working Party developed, and now oversees implementation of, the OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises.
Members of the Working Party include all 35 OECD Member countries and the EU Commission. The following countries have been invited to participate on a regular basis: Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Lithuania, Russia and South Africa. The table below provides a list of government agency(ies) responsible for the ownership, or for coordinating the oversight, of state-owned enterprises in those countries, along with links to their websites when possible.
Further information about the Working Party’s participants and mandate can be found here.
