Organised by the OECD and IFC, with the support of the Global Corporate Governance Forum, the 2008 meeting of the Latin American Companies Circle took place in Mexico City on 1 December 2008. In the wake of the recent global financial turbulence, participants took stock of developments and considered whether there is a need to adjust thinking regarding approaches to corporate governance, in the wake of the current global financial turbulence.
A special feature of this year's meeting was the participation of corporate governance rating agencies and advisory services as well as investors.
This meeting took place back-to-back with the 2008 Latin American Roundtable.
