The International Partnership Fair was the 2nd Meeting of the OECD LEED Forum on Partnerships and Local Governance. The Fair built on the framework developed within the first meeting of the Forum, held in Vienna, Austria on 26-27 April 2005 and addressed demand for the exchange of information and comparison of concrete experience and practice in relation to partnership working, governance and the pursuit of an integrated approach to local economic development and social inclusion.

Embedded in the overall objectives for the OECD LEED Forum on Partnerships and Local Governance, the International Partnership Fair sought to contribute to an enhancement of local economic and employment development through strengthening the effectiveness of labour market and social policies. It aims to offer participants opportunities to: 

• Exchange knowledge and best practice examples in relation to core aspects of partnership working (including defining aims and objectives, drawing up strategies, bringing on board partners and developing tools and instruments).
• Build-up co-operations between partnerships.
• Establish professional networks and personal contacts.
