What are the unique difficulties of the different regions in Canada, such as those of Quebec and Ontario? Despite its anticipated positive growth trajectory, Canada will have to redefine territorial policies in order to expand local and regional opportunities. This review identifies the need for expanded local governance, joint federal and provincial approaches to urban development, flexible horizontal collaboration as well as other key areas upon which policies should focus.
