Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in Sydney from 17 to 20 July 2014 to attend the G20 Trade Ministers Meeting. The Secretary-General will deliver remarks at the sessions on “Trade actions as part of G20 country comprehensive growth strategies”, “Global value chains” and “How the G20 can strengthen the global trading system”. He will also present, jointly with Australian Minister for Trade and Investment, The Hon. Andrew Robb, the OECD/WTO/WB publication “Global Value Chains: Challenges, Opportunities and Implications for Policy” to the media.
While in Sydney, Mr. Gurría will attend the B20 Summit, where he will deliver remarks at the B20 Panel “The next wave of global investment: what and where?”, alongside business leaders. During this visit, the Secretary-General will also hold several meetings with high level officials and business representatives and will be the keynote speaker at the G20 Youth Entrepreneurs’ Alliance, on 20 July.
