Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, delivered remarks at the opening session of the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) Committee, in Brussels, on Tuesday 26 November 2013.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Mexico City on 14 and 15 November 2013 to attend the International Forum "Public Policies on Employment and Social Protection", where he delivered closing remarks and met with several Labour Ministers on the sidelines of the Forum.
OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría is attending a meeting that Mr. François Hollande, President of the French Republic, is hosting with the Heads of International Organisations at The Elysée Palace. Attendees will discuss the current global economic outlook, as well specific aspects of the European and French economies.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in London on 31 October 2013 to attend the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Annual Summit. He will participate in a Panel Discussion to highlight the role that multilateral organisations like the OECD can play to help promote good governance in the 21st century.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be travelling to Colombia on 25 October, at the invitation of Mr. Juan Manuel Santos, President of Colombia. During his stay in Bogota, the Secretary-General will meet with the President and all Ministers in the Cabinet, as well as with the Vice president of Colombia and Trade Unions.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in Brasilia on 21-22 October 2013 to present the OECD Economic Survey of Brazil and hold meetings with several Ministers.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will attend the XXIII Latin American Summit of Heads of State and Governments taking place in Panama City on 18-19 October, under the title “The political, economic, social and cultural role of the Ibero-American Community within a new global context”
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be travelling to Costa Rica on 16 - 17 October, at the invitation of President Laura Chinchilla Miranda. During his stay in San José, the Secretary-General will meet with the President, the Vice-president and most Ministers in the Cabinet.
The Secretary-General of the OECD, Mr. Angel Gurría, will be in Washington from 10 to 12 October 2013, to attend the Annual Meeting of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund, where he will deliver statements at the International Monetary and Finance Committee and Development Committee.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, presented a major address on the Organisation’s latest analysis of climate change, investment and energy policies in London on Wednesday 9 October, at 10:30am.
