The Secretary-General opened the OECD Ministerial meeting “Creating our Common Future through Science, Technology and Innovation” alongside Mrs. Park Geunhye, President of the Republic of Korea. Mr. Gurría also presented OECD Science, Technology and Industry Scoreboard 2015 and held a series of meetings.
The Secretary-General attended events in Guadelajara, Mexico City and Cancun and presented several new OECD publications on Mexico.
The Secretary-General attended several high-level meetings and presented two major OECD reports. The Lima visit also signalled the growing collaboration between Peru and the OECD as Mr. Gurría met with President Humala and presented an OECD Multidimensional Country Review of Peru.
The Secretary-General opened the G20/OECD Global Forum on International Investment and attended the G20 Trade Ministers Meeting.
The Secretary-General attended the Enlarged Debate of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the Activities of the OECD and held bilateral meetings.
The Secretary-General attended the United Nations summit for the adoption of the post-2015 agenda and the UN 2015 general assembly. He delivered remarks on strengthening global partnership for the post-2015 development agenda, participated in high-level events in the margins of the summit, and met with leaders and officials also in attendance.
The Secretary-General delivered a speech at the G7 Forum for Dialogue with Women dinner on “Promoting gender equality in the G7 and beyond: education, employment and entrepreneurship”.
The Secretary-General presented the 2015 OECD Economic Survey of Ireland with Minister of Finance Michael Noonan, delivered a lecture on policy challenges for the next 50 years, signed a corporate internship programme at Trinity College Dublin, and held a series of bilateral meetings.
The Secretary-General delivered remarks at the APEC Finance Ministerial Meeting and held bilateral meetings with ministers attending the event.
Mr. Gurría presented OECD’s work on inclusive labour markets and skills to the G20 Ministers of Labour and Employment and our analysis and recommendations on growth, investment, SMEs and taxation including BEPS to the G20 Finance Ministers & Central Bank Governors meeting. He also delivered a keynote address at the Women 20 official launch event.
