Mr. Gurría presented OECD’s work on inclusive labour markets and skills to the G20 Ministers of Labour and Employment and our analysis and recommendations on growth, investment, SMEs and taxation including BEPS to the G20 Finance Ministers & Central Bank Governors meeting. He also delivered a keynote address at the Women 20 official launch event.
The Secretary-General presented the 2015 OECD Economic Survey of Iceland and held meetings with the President of Iceland, the Prime Minster and several other ministers. Mr. Gurría also attended meetings with business and unions, and the Parliament’s Economic and Trade Affairs Committee.
The Secretary-General was in Pretoria to present the 2015 OECD Economic Survey of South Africa and hold meetings with several high-level officials. He also participated in a meeting on the OECD’s New Approaches to Economic Challenges (NAEC) initiative.
The Secretary-General spoke at the 3rd International Conference on Financing for Development and related OECD side events. He also delivered remarks at the International Business Forum hosted by the government of Ethiopia.
The Secretary-General attended the Global Summit on Productivity together with Mr. Peña Nieto, President of Mexico and Mr. Luis Videgaray Caso, Minister of Finance, and delivered a keynote address based on the new OECD report "The Future of Productivity".
The Secretary-General will deliver a lecture for the London School of Economics on “Climate: what’s changed, and what still needs to? The climate debate six months before Paris”.
The Secretary-General met with officials from the European Commission and delivered a speech at the LIBE Commission of the European Parliament on the joint OECD-EC Indicators of Immigrant Integration 2015: “Settling In”.
H.E. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, paid a historic visit to the OECD to deliver a keynote address and sign cooperation agreements to bolster ongoing collaboration.
The Secretary-General delivered a keynote speech at the 5th Global Review of Aid for Trade event and presented the OECD/WTO Aid for Trade at a Glance publication. He also held bilateral meetings with several heads of international organisations.
The Secretary-General participated in the GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum alongside the Prime Ministers of Poland, the Slovak Republic, Hungary and the Czech Republic. He also met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic.
