Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Washington from 9 to 12 October 2014 to attend the International Monetary Fund / World Bank Annual meetings, as well as the G20 Finance Ministerial.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Milan, on 8 October 2014 to attend the 3rd High level Conference on Employment in Europe.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Brussels on 6th October 2014 to attend the EU Open Days 2014 "Growing together - Smart investment for people", jointly organised by the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD met with Mr. Matteo Renzi, President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, in Milan on 3 October 2014.
Mr. Angel Gurría, OECD Secretary-General, was in Strasbourg on 1st October 2014 to attend the “Enlarged Debate of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the Activities of the OECD”. Mr. Gurría also met with several parliamentary delegations during his visit.
OECD Secretary-General was in New York from 22 to 25 to attend the United Nations Climate Summit, in which he moderated a panel discussion on “The Economic Case for Action”. He also held bilateral meetings with several world leaders attending the Summit and UN high level officials.
OECD Secretary-General was in Cairns (Australia) from 19 to 21 September 2014, to attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting. During his visit, the Secretary-General delivered opening interventions at the G20 Ministerial sessions on Growth, Investment and Taxes.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Spain on 8 September 2014 to present the OECD 2014 Economic Survey of Spain, with the participation of Minister Luis de Guindos. While in Madrid, the Secretary-General held meetings with the Spanish authorities.
The French Prime Minister, Mr Manuel Valls, received the OECD Secretary-General for a bilateral meeting at Hôtel Matignon. During the meeting, Secretary-General Gurria offered further OECD support to help the French Government in its reforms to enhance competitiveness, productivity and growth.
