Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Brussels on 10-11 February 2014, where he delivered remarks at the European Competition Forum “The Internal Market and Beyond: challenges for a modern competition policy”.
The Prime Minister of Ireland, Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD, and Deputy Prime Minister Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore TD, visited the OECD on 7 February to discuss Ireland’s economic recovery and its partnership with the Organisation as a key ally supporting their reform agenda.
The Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg, visited the OECD today to hold a bilateral meeting with Secretary-General Angel Gurría. They discussed the on-going collaboration between Norway and the OECD and how the Organisation can best contribute to Mrs. Solberg’s agenda for reform.
The secretary-General attended the World Economic Forum 2014 Davos where he delivered remarks in different sessions and held bilateral meetings with officials from several countries attending the Forum.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Moscow to attend the Gaidar Forum where he presented the OECD Economic Survey of the Russian Federation. His visit also included meetings with Prime Minister Medvedev, Deputy Prime Minister Shuvalov and members of the cabinet and the business community.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in Mexico from 6 to 10 January 2014, to meet with Mr. Enrique Peña Nieto, President of Mexico, and members of his cabinet. He will also deliver remarks at the Conference “Mexico: the International Economic Context and the Importance of Structural Reforms” organised by the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Israel, on an official visit, on 8 December 2013, to present the OECD Economic Survey of Israel and participate in the Israel Business Conference.
The Secretary-General of the OECD, Mr. Angel Gurría, will be in Washington on 2-3 December 2013, to present the results of the 2013 OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), alongside Mr. Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education of the United States. The Secretary-General will also meet with several high-level US officials.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Athens on 27 November 2013, on an official visit. Mr. Gurría presented the OECD Economic Survey of Greece and OECD’s Competition Assessment of Laws and Regulations in Greece.
