The Secretary-General was in Bratislava on 21 June 2017 to present the 2017 Economic Survey of the Republic of Slovakia. He also presented the OECD report “Assessment of key anti-corruption related legislation in the Slovak Republic”.
The Secretary-General was in Brussels on 20 June 2017 to present the Economic Survey of Belgium.
The Secretary-General will be in Berlin on 12-13 June 2017 to attend the High-Level Policy Forum on the new OECD Jobs Strategy. He will also present the OECD Employment Outlook 2017 at a press conference with Germany’s Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ms. Andrea Nahles and attend the International Conference “G20 Africa Partnership - Investing in a Common Future”.
The Secretary-General was in Jerusalem on 10-11 June 2017 to receive the degree of Doctor Philosophiae Honoris Causa from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The Secretary-General was in Taormina on 26-27 May 2017 to attend the G7 Leaders Summit and deliver remarks at the Outreach working session. While in Taormina, he held bilateral meetings with high level authorities attending the Summit.
The Secretary-General was in Berlin on 22-23 May 2017 to attend the Petersberg Climate Dialogue where he delivered remarks at the Session on “Climate Change as catalyst for sustainable economic growth and well-being” and presented the OECD report “Investing in Climate - Investing in Growth”.
The Secretary-General was in Berlin on 19-20 May 2017 to attend the G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting where he delivered remarks at the session on “Fighting Antimicrobial Resistance”.
The Secretary-General was in Bad Neuenahr, Germany, on 18-19 May 2017 to attend the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers Meeting entitled "Towards and Inclusive Future - Shaping the World of Work". He delivered remarks at Thematic Sessions “Future of Work”, “Promoting fair and effective labour market integration of regular migrants and recognised refugees" ” and “Fostering decent work for sustainable global supply chain”.
The Secretary-General was in Bari from 11 to 13 May 2017 to attend the G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' meeting where he delivered remarks on inequality and growth and security as a global public good. He also intervened in the sessions on global economy, and international taxation.
The Secretary-General was in New York on 24 April to deliver remarks at the event “Prioritising Water on the Global Agenda”, hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations.
