Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Washington on 20-22 April 2017 to attend the International Monetary Fund / World Bank Spring Meetings as well as the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (G20 FM&CBG) meetings.
At the G20 FM&CBG meetings, the Secretary-General delivered remarks at Session I “Global Economy and Framework for Growth” and was a lead speaker in session IV “Financial Sector Development and Regulation: Other Issues”.
While in Washington, the Secretary-General presented the 2017 OECD Scoreboard on Financing SMEs and Entrepreneurs with Italy’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Pier Carlo Padoan. In addition, he delivered a keynote address to the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and remarks at a Roundtable with the United States Council for International Business (USCIB).
Mr. Angel Gurría also held bilateral meetings with several high level authorities present in Washington for the meetings.
