President of Lithuania visits OECD, 12 November 2013

 

The President of Lithuania, Mrs. Dalia Grybauskaitė, visited the OECD on 12 November and delivered a special address to the members of the Council underlining her country’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with the OECD. Members decided at the last Ministerial Council Meeting held in May 2013 to work closely with Lithuania to review the situation in 2015 with a view to taking a decision regarding accession of the country to the OECD. In her intervention, the President emphasized her country’s commitment to OECD standards and welcomed the approval by the Lithuanian Government of an Action Plan to further engage with the Organisation.
