The OECD has contacts with Parliamentarians through various channels. Each autumn, the OECD Secretary-General participates in the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly debate on the work of the OECD, stemming from a report prepared in the course of the year. OECD experts also co-operate with the Parliamentary Assembly on specific areas of work.

Members of the Economics and Security Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly hold an annual meeting with the OECD Secretariat every February, to exchange views and learn more about the OECD’s work.

The OECD also has a programme of high-level parliamentary seminars to disseminate its work to parliamentarians as well as obtaining parliamentarians’ views on OECD policy analysis. Groups from OECD national parliaments also visit the OECD to learn more about its work.
