The OECD collects statistics needed for the analysis of economic and social developments by its in-house analysts, committees, working parties, and Member country governments from statistical agencies and other institutions of its Member countries. The OECD shares the experience gained by Members in compiling reliable and comparable statistics with non-Member countries. Most of OECD's statistical outputs are made available to the public through electronic and paper publications and now through the Statistics Portal, which offers: - access to statistics produced by OECD, classified by subject; - frequently asked statistical tables, - statistical press releases, For each subject, a set of statistical tables is already available. A project is underway to increase the statistical information on the web and an enlarged set of tables by theme will be available soon. The Portal also offers a access to SourceOECD, which provides real-time access to our very large set of on-line statistical databases in an interactive and user-friendly way. OECD Online Bookshop is a gateway to over 4.000 books and CD-Roms. Our multi-dimensional software available in CD-Roms allows the creation of statistical tables. User-friendly and intuitive, users do not require any mathematical knowledge or programming skills. Trends, cycles and geographic distributions can be quickly and easily examined from different view-points, and then printed or exported. Top of page |
