The Committee on Fiscal Affairs brings together senior officials from all OECD Member governments who play an active role in formulating and implementing tax policies. The Committee sets the OECD Work programme in the tax area and provides a forum for exchanging views on tax policy and administrative issues. The detailed work of the Committee on Fiscal Affairs is carried out by a number of subsidiary groups of experts in particular areas, drawn from Member governments, and in certain cases, non-member economies. While most of the Committee's work is undertaken by government officials and the OECD Secretariat, there is frequent consultation with representatives of business and trade unions and co-operation with other international and regional tax organisations.
