OECD attaches great importance to co-operation with business, labour, parliamentarians, civil society and the general public. The Public Affairs Division is the OECD's focal point for this co-operation. These partners make an important contribution to the work of the OECD. This co-operation builds trust in public institutions and promotes understanding of economic and social change. It organises consultations and produces a wide range of public information to enhance the dissemination of the Organisation's work to both these actors and "busy people". Consultations are organised in collaboration with the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC), Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC), Council of Europe and Economic Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and with Civil Society at large through the annual OECD Forum.
