The Transport Division encompasses a broad set of activities directed to providing input to the policy debate on current and emerging issues relevant to: aviation; maritime transport; shipbuilding; road and intermodal transport.

In addition, the Transport Division works closely with a range of international organisations, including APEC, EC, ECMT, PIARC, UN, World Bank, the World Trade Organisation and the World Tourism Organisation, as well as other Directorates within the OECD.

For example, the Transport Division has several joint projects with ECMT (transport and e-commerce; outreach activities, safety and transport and sustainable development, the latter being undertaken also with the Environment Directorate of the OECD), and with PIARC on the transport of dangerous goods.
