Changes over the last two decades in most countries' economic structure have resulted in the need for reliable statistics and policy-relevant indicators by OECD economists and governments to carry out analyses on services, in particular on some of the most dynamic sectors, such as ICT services, which present particular measurement challenges due to the intangible nature of the output.
