The Working Party on Communication, Infrastructures and Services Policy (CISP), previously Working Party on Telecommuniction and Information Services Policy (TISP), looks at communications and Internet policy, promotes the exchange of experience among OECD members and reviews developments in information infrastructure. The focus is on regulatory reform, the convergence of telecommunication, Internet, cable television and broadcasting networks over fixed and wireless networks.

Ongoing activities range from work on communication including telecommunication market liberalisation, assessment of communication market performance, and regulatory issues such as interconnection, universal service, the development of broadband infrastructure to support electronic commerce, and pricing.

Price comparisons for communication and Internet services are undertaken on a regular basis and the economic and social implications of changing communication market structures and information and computer services are examined. Trade-related issues in telecommunications and information services are analysed and international co-operation is planned.

An overview of the main indicators is provided in the biennial OECD Communications Outlook and OECD Telecommunications Database.
