Ces études permettent à une agence ou ville de faire évaluer ses progrès réalisés par une équipe internationale d’experts et de diffuser leurs résultats et bonnes pratiques. Il permet en outre la participation à un processus de revue par les pairs avec la participation d’experts et praticiens, ainsi que des représentants des gouvernements des pays membres de l’OCDE. Les villes et agences de développement intéressées à y participer sont priées de contacter le secrétariat de l'OCDE.

Conference on Regional Development Agencies: Mission, Functions and Priorities, Trento, Italy, 16 April 2004

This international conference is organised by the Trentino Institute of Culture in partnership with the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Chamber of Commerce of Trento and the OECD LEED Centre for Local Development in Trento. The aim of the event is to compare different organisational and functional models of Regional Development Agencies vis-à-vis some of the most common issues they have to face. In October 2000 the OECD Forum on Cities and Regions held an expert seminar on Employment, Environment and Local Initiatives. A new report by Professor Sprenger of the Institute for Economic Research in Germany gives examples of local environment and employment networks.

Study launched on Inward Investment and Local Development

A study on inward investment and local development was launched at an OECD seminar on June 8 2001. This study will examine how agencies can best attract, retain and embed inward investment projects and respond to plant closures.
