Les gouvernements soucieux de stimuler leur économie nationale, de créer des emplois et de tenir leurs objectifs environnementaux sont conscients que l’éco-innovation fait partie des leviers à actionner. Certains subventionnent la recherche-développement, d’autres stimulent la demande en appliquant un étiquetage énergétique des appareils et des règlements qui pénalisent les produits préjudiciables à l’environnement. Pour tous, il s’agit de trouver des politiques efficientes et efficaces.

Ce document présente plusieurs méta-analyses de la valeur d’une vie statistique (VVS) dans des enquêtes de préférences déclarées et sera intégré à un rapport technique et à un « manuel utilisateur » sur l’utilisation des VVS dans l’évaluation des politiques. Ce manuel, destiné aux décideurs, est actuellement en préparation.

Valuation of Environment-Related Health Risks for Children

Is the value of reducing environment-related health risks greater for children than for adults? A research project involving leading research teams has sought to answer this question through the implementation of surveys of parents in three OECD countries. OECD hosted a preparatory meeting for the 2011 global conference of environmental enforcement practitioners and their partners

On 11-12 October, the OECD Environment Directorate hosted a meeting of the governing body of the International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement (INECE). The meeting participants decided on the agenda of a global conference which marks the 20th anniversary of this partnership. Attendance at the meeting was by invitation only. Outcome Performance Measures of Environmental Compliance Assurance: Current Practices, Constraints and Ways Forward

This report analyses the current practices of ten OECD countries in the use of quantitative indicators characterising outcomes of activities to ensure compliance with environmental pollution prevention and control regulations. It provides recommendations to environmental enforcement authorities on how to better measure the effectiveness of their efforts, improve their strategic planning and allow policy makers and the public to see the actual impact of compliance assurance programmes.
