The ICT industry is expected to grow by 6% in 2006 and, looking ahead, highest growth will be driven by Internet-related investments, Linux servers, digital storage, personal digital assistants and new portable consumer products. But any return to the heady days of 20% and 30% growth in many products and market segments in the 1990s are unlikely, according to the 2006 edition of the OECD’s Information Technology Outlook, just released.

Les notices d’information sur la protection de la vie privée sont un excellent outil pour révéler les pratiques et politiques en vigueur dans une organisation. Néanmoins, des études montrent que bon nombre de ces notices sont trop longues, déconcertantes et émaillées de formulations juridiques compliquées. Ce rapport recommande que les notices soient brèves, simples et faciles d’utilisation afin qu'elles soient comprises par les utilisateurs leur permettant de comparer les pratiques en matière de protection de la vie privée des organisations qui traitent leurs données personnelles.

Rapport sur la mise en oeuvre des Lignes Directrices de 2003 sur la Fraude Transfrontière

Le rapport souligne les actions menées par les pays membres de l’OCDE pour mettre en œuvre des Lignes Directrices de l’OCDE de 2003 Régissant la Protection des Consommateurs contre les Pratiques Commerciales Transfrontières Frauduleuses et Trompeuses. Trois ans après leur publication, les Lignes Directrices se sont révélées comme particulièrement utile pour aider les pays membres à établir des cadres juridiques nationaux et internationaux adéquats afin de combattre efficacement toutes sortes de fraudes en ligne ou or ligne et de protéger la confiance des consommateurs sur le marché mondial.
