L'OCDE a lancé une enquête sur l'utilisation des documents de sécurité dans la maîtrise des dangers liés aux accident majeurs

Les lois relatives aux accidents chimiques imposent aux exploitants de certains sites dangereux de produire des 'rapports de sécurité' ou de fournir des orientations concernant les programmes de gestion des risques liés à la prévention et la sécurité. Un questionnaire a été diffusé aux pays membres afin d'examiner les finalités de tels documents.


 

Launch of the Bilingual EECCA Environment Strategy Partnership Database

This new online tool was developed by the EAP Task Force secretariat to provide access to information on partnerships developed and implemented in countries of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) since 2002 to facilitate and support the achievement of the objectives of the EECCA Environment Strategy.  The database is available in English and Russian.

Cet Atelier a été organisé sous les auspices de la Réunion Conjointe du Comité des produits chimiques et du Groupe de travail sur les produits chimiques, les pesticides et la biotechnologie de l’OCDE. L’atelier á été prévu pour identifier les issues associées a la sécurité des nanomatériaux manufacturés pour la santé humaine et l’environnement.

OECD focus session on integrated approaches to testing and assessment

Member countries are beginning to share experiences on using integrated approaches to fulfil information requirements for testing and assessment in different regulatory frameworks. A Focus Session held during the 39th Joint Meeting of the Chemicals Committee and Working Party on Chemicals, Pestcides and Biotechnology gave an overview of practical experiences with specific innovative approaches being used in member countries and provided an opportunity to discuss the need for paradigm shifts to make the best use of information available to determine testing, assessment and management needs.

OECD adopts “Harmonised Templates” for reporting Test Study summaries

OECD has adopted 86 harmonised templates for reporting summary information of the results from chemical testing. These templates, which have been prepared for database developers, prescribe the format by which results should be entered into and maintained in databases so that the data can easily be exchanged electronically across countries

EPR Policies and Product Design: Economic Theory and Selected Case Studies

By placing responsibility for a product's end-of-life environmental impacts on the original producer, EPR policies are expected to enhance design changes to products.  Design for Environment (DfE), while reducing waste management costs, should improve product recyclability and reusability, downsize products and reduce material usage.  This report discusses the 'Design for the Environment' impacts of EPR policies and investigates the extent to which these policies can contribute to DfE improvements.
