Ce document (en anglais) évalue et examine la contribution du capital, de la main d’œuvre et de la productivité globale des facteurs (PGF) à la croissance du PIB, et analyse le rôle de la mesure des apports de capital et de travail dans l’estimation de la PGF, par un travail complet de quantification comptable de la croissance portant sur 14 pays de l’OCDE.

Just published, this book draws from the OECD "Blue Sky II" Forum and presents policy needs, measurement issues and some of the challenges in developing indicators for cross-cutting and emerging topics in science, technology and innovation. The second Roundtable on economics for consumer policy (click here for a report on the first) brought academics and senior government officials together to examine the nature of failures in markets where supply-side competition is deemed to be effective. It considered the economic theories of information disclosure, focusing on two major industry sectors – telecommunications and financial services. How policies addressing demand side failures could be strengthened was considered.

Consumers enter into contracts covering a wide range of purchases – health care, housing, financial investment, telecommunication services and leisure services are some examples. In addition, with the increasing convergence of financial arrangements and consumer activities in modern life, consumers are prone to take on longer-term commitments. The OECD report on contracts takes a close look at how governments in different countries help protect the interests of consumers when they sign such contracts.

Les pays membres de l’OCDE se sont accordés sur des principes visant à offrir aux consommateurs des mécanismes efficaces pour résoudre leurs litiges et obtenir réparation du fait du préjudice économique résultant de transactions conclues avec les entreprises. Le nouveau cadre, qui s’applique aux litiges tant domestiques que transfrontières, vise à renforcer la confiance des consommateurs en ligne et à les aider à profiter des avantages du commerce électronique.
