Higher education facilities conference

PEB organised a conference entitled “Sustainable Spaces and Places for Learning, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer” in collaboration with the Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. The event was held in May 2008 and identified global and local possibilities to provide quality environments for higher education. Both physical and virtual environments were addressed.

As a follow-up to recommendations from the two reviews on China which had an important impact on legislation and policy development in the sector, the OECD is aiming to strengthen research capacity on tertiary education finance and quality. The goal of this activity is a long-term research collaboration between Chinese and Swiss universities and research institutions on policy issues of mutual interest in the domain of education development and governance.
