A set of recommendations on improving corporate governance in Russia was officially released in Moscow on 15 April 2002. The recommendations are contained in a White Paper on Corporate Governance in Russia developed by the Russian Corporate Governance Roundtable.

On 11 December 2001 the OECD presented its Report on Corporate Governance in Romania at a high level meeting attended by the Prime Minister of Romania, Adrian Nastase. The Report provides a thorough overview of corporate governance in Romania, and a comprehensive agenda for reform.

Six donors, the World Bank and the OECD have established the Global Corporate Governance Forum. The Forum's main objective is to co-finance corporate governance improvements in developing and transition countries, and co-ordinate activities towards this aim.
