The Donor Assistance Committee/ Working Party of the Trade Committee on Aid for Trade met to discuss ongoing OECD work on improving the effectiveness of aid for trade on November 10th. Issues discussed included Evaluation of Aid for Trade, Management for Development Results, Binding Constraints to Trade Expansion, and Aid for Trade and the Green Growth Agenda.

The OECD organised a series of Practitioners Fora on Monitoring Aid for Trade as part of the regional aid-for-trade events that were hosted by the WTO and the Regional Development Banks in Latin America (Lima, Peru, 13-14 September), Asia (Manila, Philippines, 19-21 September), and Africa (Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, 1-2 October) in advance of the first Annual Global Review of Aid for Trade in the November 2007 WTO General Council meeting.

A Policy Dialogue between OECD Members and non-Members "Aid for Trade: From Policy to Practice" took place in Doha, Qatar on 6 and 7 November 2006. This Policy Dialogue between OECD and non-OECD countries on Aid for Trade brought together a wide range of stakeholders from developing and developed countries to share experiences and information on how best to support developing countries' trade expansion and make it an engine of economic growth and poverty reduction.
