The hazard assessment for human health and the environment for PFOS and its salts was adopted in November 2002 at the 34th Joint Meeting of the Chemicals Committee and the Working Party on Chemicals, Pesticides and Biotechnology. It is now publicly available.

The status of all HPV chemicals within the process of investigation in the OECD HPV Chemicals Programme is recorded in the HPV Database. Once the assessment of a chemical is finalised it shows the conclusions and recommendation of the assessment.
