Renewable Energy and Water sector projects under Annex IV of the Arrangement

The following table shows the number and value of renewable energy and water projects prior notified under Annex IV of the Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits for the period July 2005 to June 2007 by sector, and whether these notifications have resulted in committed business, remain at the intention stage, or have been cancelled.  This table includes available data on the eight projects that have been both prior notified and subsequently committed as at 30 June 2007.

Agreement on Untied Official Development Assistance [ODA] Credits Transparency

At their 93rd Meeting (2-5 November 2004), the Participants to the Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits agreed on a two-year pilot programme which would provide a greater transparency and efficiency in the use of untied ODA credits. The Participants implemented this Agreement from 1 January 2005. In November 2006, the Participants agreed to extend this pilot programme for a further two years (until the end of 2008).

The programme, titled the Agreement on Untied ODA Credits Transparency, receives the administrative support of the OECD Export Credits Secretariat. 

A new OECD Recommendation has been adopted by the OECD to address environmental issues relating to projects backed by officially supported export credits

The OECD Council has adopted a revised Recommendation on Common Approaches on the Environment and Officially Supported Export Credits. This new Recommendation builds on experience gained in implementing the previous version, which is accordingly superseded, and provides for stronger environment-related requirements for export deals to qualify for export credit support from OECD governments' Export Credit Agencies.
