Certain developing countries have already confirmed their participation in the 2006 Survey on Monitoring the Paris Declaration. Governments of countries wishing to take part in the survey are invited to send an email to the Secretariat (simon.mizrahi@oecd.org) and provide the name of the National Coordinator. Workshop on the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness: Implications and Implementation

Summary now available for this workshop that was held in Bamako, Mali. It provided representatives from Central, North and West African countries and their partner donor institutions the opportunity to identify practical actions that can be taken with respect to implementing the Paris Declaration.

Workshop on Results Reporting by Donor Agencies

This workshop enhanced mutual learning in the way that information on development results can be reported to the stakeholders in the development process. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the workshop in The Hague, The Netherlands on 11-12 April 2006.

On 3 August 2005, Richard Manning the Chair of the DAC and Michel Reveyrand, the Chair of the Working Party on Aid Effectiveness, wrote to the heads of delegations of the Paris High Level Forum (28 February - 2 March) to inform them on the agreements reached on the targets for the 11 Indicators of Progress included in the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness.

The scope of this study is to assess the importance of incentive systems internal to aid agencies in their efforts to deliver on the commitments made in the Rome Declaration on Harmonisation. It looks at different factors which influence individual and collective behaviour in aid agencies, and discusses whether these work for or against the adoption of harmonised practices and of the new paradigm in development cooperation based on donor coordination and country ownership.
