The growing interest for the Public Sector Pay and Employment (PSPE) database involves frequent and an increasing number of information requests as well as the deployment of complementary databases in some other international organisations.

This year's questionnaire has been modified in order to obtain the historical series needed for comparisons between the current situation and 1990 Public Sector Employment and Pay.

This paper aims to provide OECD member countries with some selected trends of public sector pay and employment.
